Three coaches of the train derailed today as it neared the Kharkopar station in Navi Mumbai. As the train derailed at roughly 8:45 in the morning, it was traveling from Belapur to Kharkopar station.
There have been no injuries to any passengers. Central Railway CPRO Shivaji Sutar provided information, stating that three rescue trains had been dispatched from Kurla, Panvel, and Kalyan to the accident site.
In accordance with the primary information received, the incident occurred just a few meters away from Kharkopar station and part of the track was uprooted. Track laying will take a long time, according to officials on the spot. CIDCO’s fire engines have also reached the spot.
