The film aims to shed light on the serious issue of false allegations and the misuse of Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, a law designed to protect women from domestic violence. This movie will explore the struggles faced by individuals who are wrongly accused, offering a powerful narrative that resonates with many.

The Verdict 498A will be directed by Anindya Bikas Datta, known for his work in Bengali cinema, and is based on the true story of Deeptanshu Shukla, an engineer who became a lawyer to fight against the misuse of this law. The film is currently in its early stages of production and is set to begin filming soon.
