Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal approached the High Court against his arrest. In the Delhi liquor scam case, Kejriwal was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and is still being held on remand.

Following a hearing on Saturday, a Delhi judge committed Kejriwal to judicial prison till July 12. The matter is still being investigated, but the judge thought Kejriwal had emerged as the primary conspirator in the scheme.

After three days of detention, the CBI brought Kejriwal before the court and requested 14 days of judicial custody. According to the investigative agency, Kejriwal was purposefully providing evasive answers and was not assisting with the inquiry.

Excise Policy Case: Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, is in major trouble. The CBI Special Court has placed Aam Aadmi Party convenor Kejriwal, who is being held in Tihar Jail in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, under judicial custody for 14 days.

After the Delhi Chief Minister’s three days of CBI custody were up, the CBI requested that he be placed under 14 days of judicial custody. Arvind Kejriwal was detained in Tihar Jail by the Special CBI court of Rouse Avenue until July 12.

When Kejriwal was taken into prison by the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was looking into a money laundering case involving the Delhi Excise Policy.

Let us tell you that on Friday, May 10, Kejriwal was released from Tihar jail following a 50-day stay. He was detained by ED on March 21. The bench declared that Kejriwal is being given adequate time—48 hours before the polls. Kejriwal has been given provisional bail until June 1. Also, there is no restriction on election campaigning. But he will have to surrender on June 2.

High Court seeks reply from ED-CBI on Manish Sisodia’s bail, next hearing on May 8

In the money laundering case about the Delhi liquor scam, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has requested bail. The Delhi High Court has sent a notice to the ED-CBI requesting their response.

Manish Sisodia, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and a former deputy chief minister of Delhi, has received significant relief from the High Court. Sisodia can see his sick wife once a week, as per the Delhi High Court’s ruling. He is going to be detained for this term.

Sisodia has appealed the order made on April 30 by Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of Rouse Avenue Court to deny the bail request in the Delhi High Court. This case’s next hearing is scheduled for May 8.

On April 30, Rouse Avenue Court denied his standard bail request. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja denied Sisodia’s request for bail in the ED and CBI investigations. He then made an application to the High Court. Sisodia had appealed the Rouse Avenue Court’s ruling to the High Court.

Let us remind you that Sisodia was detained by the CBI on February 26 of last year concerning the money laundering case involving the Delhi liquor scandal. CBI had questioned him for eight hours before his detention. On March 9, the ED arrested him as a result.

ED’s seventh summons to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, called for questioning on February 26

Arvind Kejriwal ED Summon: The ED has sent Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal his seventh summons. On Thursday, February 22, ED sent him a summons and called him for questioning on Monday.

Earlier he was scheduled to appear before the ED on Monday, February 19, 2024, but Arvind Kejriwal did not appear. Then, Kejriwal was called in for questioning by the ED, which was looking into allegations of money laundering in the alleged liquor policy scam in Delhi.

Declaring ED’s summons to be unlawful, the AAP then stated that the court is currently debating the summons‘ legality. The ED has made contact with the court. Rather than repeatedly delivering summonses, ED needs to await the court’s ruling. This was the sixth time when Kejriwal did not appear before the ED summons. Arvind Kejriwal’s problems could now get worse as a result of the seventh summons.

According to sources, Kejriwal has been summoned to appear on February 26 before the financial probe agency.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh arrested in Delhi Excise Policy Scam, ED took this action after 10 hours of interrogation

Sanjay Singh, a top Aam Aadmi Party politician and Rajya Sabha member was detained on Wednesday by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. On Wednesday, starting at 7 a.m., the ED searched Sanjay Singh’s home in Delhi.

After nearly ten hours of questioning, ED has taken this move. The homes of numerous other members of the MP’s inner circle had previously been searched in the same investigation. Manish Sisodia has been incarcerated in this matter since February. After learning about Sanjay Singh’s detention, there was a commotion within the Aam Aadmi Party.

According to the ED charge sheet, Delhi-based businessman Dinesh Arora was listed as an accused in the Delhi liquor policy scam case. Arora claimed in a statement to have met Sanjay Singh at a gathering. Following that, he also got in touch with Manish Sisodia, a former deputy chief minister of Delhi.

Court extends judicial custody of Manish Sisodia in CBI case till June 2

Delhi Liquor Policy: In the CBI case, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has prolonged Manish Sisodia’s judicial detention until June 2. On Thursday, the court had earlier deferred its decision regarding Manish Sisodia‘s bail request.

In addition, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma ordered the appropriate jail superintendent to make arrangements for a virtual meeting between Sisodia and her wife every other day between 3 and 4 pm until the bail appeal is resolved.

As per jail rules, the virtual meeting will take place as scheduled. In connection with cases filed by the CBI and ED, Sisodia is currently being held in judicial custody. Recently, he was also refused bail in the ED case.

Delhi liquor policy case: AAP MP Raghav Chadha named in ED’s charge sheet

Raghav Chadha, an AAP member, was named in the second supplemental chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the case involving the Delhi liquor policy on Tuesday.

The investigation agency was informed by Manish Sisodia‘s former secretary, C Arvind, that Raghav Chadha attended a meeting at the former Deputy Chief Minister’s residence.

Varun Roojam, the commissioner of the Punjab Excise Directorate, Vijay Nair, one of the defendants in the case, and other employees of the Punjab Excise Directorate were also there, according to C Arvind’s statement.
