Google Registry’s new domain extension type “.meme” is now available for registration

With the recent announcement of a new top-level domain by Google Registry, you may now conclude your website with a big ol’.meme.

As part of an early access period, the new “.meme” domains can be registered right now for an “additional one-time fee.” You can pay only the base annual price if you like to wait until they become publicly accessible on December 5th at 4 PM UTC (12 PM ET).

A few websites have already adopted the.meme domain; these include nyancat.meme, and keyboardcat.meme, which are all devoted to vintage memes. The new domain was even taken up by the meme tracker knowyour.meme. Some of these “.meme” websites, meanwhile, only take you to a different platform or a.com address.

The list of unusual domain names available on Google Registry already includes .dad, .boo, and even the newly launched .ing.
