Massive collapse due to cloudburst from Manali to Shimla, more than 50 people missing, NDRF personnel present on the spot

Himachal Cloudburst Updates: There was a cloudburst incident in Samej, Shimla district, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, late on Wednesday night. Where over fifty individuals are listed as missing. The missing persons’ search has begun.

Kullu, Manali, and Shimla have all seen horrific damage as a result of the cloudburst. Three locations have seen cloudbursts: the Manikaran Valley in Kullu, Mandi, and the Jhakri area of Rampur Bushahr, which is close to Shimla.

A cloudburst happened at Ganvi village in the 15/20 area at approximately 11 pm. There are no known fatalities at this location. However, reports have indicated that two or three houses, fields, gardens, school buildings, and other items have been damaged.

On behalf of the district administration, Shimla has arrived at this location. A group of medical professionals from Khaneri Hospital in Rampur departed for the area. SDM Rampur and additional officers have arrived at the Samej location. People in Samej are being evacuated from the ravine by NDRF personnel.
