There was a major security lapse in Punjab during the time of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A statement from Bathinda airport authorities has also been made public following the incident. In Bathinda airport officials’ words, PM Modi told the officials there when he returned: “Thank your PM, that I came back alive till Bathinda airport.” While traveling in Punjab on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to spend 15 to 20 minutes stuck on a flyover due to protesters blocking the road. Prime Minister’s security was seriously breached, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He was on his way from Bathinda to Hussainiwala’s National Martyrs Memorial when the incident occurred.
After two years, Prime Minister Modi visited Punjab today. It was his first visit to the state since the controversial agriculture laws were repealed. Delhi’s borders had been occupied by farmers for almost a year due to these laws. A total of Rs 42,750 crore worth of development projects were laid by the Prime Minister, including a satellite center for the Chandigarh-based Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Ferozepur and a highway connecting Delhi and Amritsar.
Two new medical colleges were established in Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur as a result of the four-laning of the Amritsar-Una rail line, the conversion of the gauge of the Mukerian-Talwara line, and the construction of the four-lane Amritsar-Una railway.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also planning to speak at a rally after the program.
