The two biggest movie theatre chains in India, PVR, and INOX, have merged to establish PVR INOX Limited, making it one of the world’s top publicly traded theatre companies.
With a 43% market share of multiplex screens in India, the recently combined PVR INOX has a network of 1689 movie theatres across 361 locations in 115 towns in Sri Lanka and India.
The film division of PVR INOX Limited is PVR INOX Pictures, formerly PVR Pictures.
To streamline high-quality content for the Indian market, create more opportunities for underrepresented storytellers and independent artists, and provide a diverse slate of material to the Indian audience, PVR INOX Pictures plans to boost its investments in content acquisition.
