Kolkata Doctor Rape Case: The rape and killing of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, has outraged people greatly. Now, angry demonstrators have broken into and destroyed RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata.

There is news that the hospital’s demonstrators also targeted the police station. When Governor CV Ananda Bose arrived at the hospital, the protesters also raised slogans for him.

At Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College on August 9, a 31-year-old trainee doctor was allegedly the victim of a gang rape followed by his murder. Protests have been ongoing ever since the case became public.

Meanwhile, the doctors in Kolkata who were protesting became angry. They went onto the hospital grounds and started a disturbance. There were also vandals at the police barracks. Governor CV Ananda Bose visited in the interim to inspect the hospital. The doctors demonstrating in front of the governor held signs that said, “We want justice.”

Rajasthan: The gang rape and subsequent burning in a furnace of a minor girl in the Kotri police station area of Bhilwara has angered the entire society and the Gurjar community.

After the police’s incompetence in the case came to light, Kotri police station officer Khinraj Gurjar was suspended. On behalf of the Sarvasamaj, the police station in Kotri was surrounded on Friday and a sit-in began, which is now in its second day. The entire town of Kotri will be closed on Saturday due to a bandh that has been called.

Lata Manoj Kumar, the IG of the Ajmer Police Range, has responded to the community’s outrage by taking action. Officer Kheenraj Gurjar of the Kotdi police station has been suspended for his carelessness in the matter. Previously, the Bhilwara SP had suspended assistant sub-inspector Liaquat, the police station’s on-duty officer. Police arrested 4-5 accused in the night.

The leaders of the Gurjar Samaj and the BJP began gheraoing the Kotdi police station after the police’s neglect, venting their intense rage. Liaquat was charged with carelessness for failing to file a missing person report for the girl. The Deputy Superintendent of Police and the entire police station should be suspended, along with paying the victim’s family compensation, which the public is now adamantly demanding.
