A new installment of Dearness Allowance was approved by the Union Cabinet on Friday.
This additional payment will provide expense relief to government employees and pensioners. Payable beginning on January 1, 2023. As a result, the DA for central staff rose from 38 to 42 percent.
Both 69.76 lakh pensioners and 47.58 lakh employees will benefit from the increase in the dearness allowance.
The time for the formal announcement of the launch of 5G services in India is near. A spectrum auction for 5G services has been approved by the Union Cabinet. According to the information received, the auction of the 5G spectrum will start next month i.e. July.

In a statement issued by the Union Cabinet, a total of 72097.85 MHz of spectrum that will have a 20-year validity will be auctioned by the end of July. It is reported that the cabinet has decided to approve the setting up of private-use networks to promote innovation.
In this time spectrum auction, the government has also announced many reliefs and concessions. The requirement of upfront payment for spectrum has been done away with. With this agreement, winning bidders can purchase a 5G spectrum in 20 equal monthly installments.
Surrender option in 10 years
There will be no obligation for the bidders to balance any installments with future liabilities after the spectrum is surrendered after 10 years. According to TRAI, India’s telecom regulator, the reserve price should be reduced by 39 percent for the sale of the 5G spectrum for mobile services.
