TMC wins panchayat elections in West Bengal, BJP comes second

West Bengal’s panchayat elections saw a lopsided victory for the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Out of 3317 seats, TMC has won 2552 of them overall in this election. Additionally, TMC won 232 Panchayat Samiti seats and 12 of the 20 seats in the Zilla Parishad.

Second place went to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Seven panchayat samiti and a total of 212-gram panchayats have been won by the BJP. However, the BJP’s account in the Zilla Parishad could not be opened. In many seats, the election results are still pending.

Additionally, CM Mamata Banerjee published a Facebook post about her outstanding accomplishment in the Panchayat elections. In the panchayat elections, the TMC’s voice, according to his writing, held sway. We acknowledge the people for this success. We appreciate the love and assistance as well. This election’s outcome has demonstrated that only TMC has the support of the state’s citizens.
