Tremendous devastation due to rain and landslide in Himachal Pradesh, more than 60 deaths, red alert also issued

In Himachal Pradesh, the constant rains and landslides have wreaked enormous destruction. In Himachal, more than 60 persons have passed away in the previous 72 hours. The number of fatalities is rising.

For various areas of Himachal, the meteorological department has issued a red alert. In the upcoming 24 hours, heavy rain is predicted in six districts, including Shimla, Solan, and Mandi.

In the Shimla neighborhood of Summer Hill, a temple has been totally demolished by a landslide. Many structures in Shimla’s Krishna Nagar neighborhood were entirely buried in the earth as a result of the landslide. A slaughterhouse and numerous houses built on the hill fell during this tragedy. Army, local police, home guards, NDRF, SDRF, and the Army are all working to rescue people. According to SDM Shimla (Urban) Bhanu Gupta, 12 bodies have so far been found.

Due to the severe rainfall, all schools and colleges in Himachal will be closed today. In addition, directives to close government institutions have been issued. Additionally, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for some regions.
