PM Modi in UAE: Indian diaspora members sing ‘Baar baar chahiye Modi ji’ at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the diaspora at an ‘Ahlan Modi’ event today.

Tuesday at Zayed Sports City Stadium, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently in the United Arab Emirates, will give a speech at the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event. More than 2,500 people are expected to participate in volunteer briefings and complete ground rehearsals, including in the event of bad weather.

“The bad weather hasn’t dampened the spirit of Indians in the UAE; over two and a half thousand of them turned up for full-ground rehearsals of the cultural program and briefing as volunteers yesterday, despite heavy rains,” Nishi Singh, head of communications for Ahlan Modi, told ANI.

The ‘Ahlan Modi’ event had so much anticipation from the Indian diaspora that last week registrations were closed, with over 65,000 people registered.
