China-based DJI halts production of drone-detection system “Aeroscope”

The commercial drone manufacturer DJI, based in China, has stopped manufacturing its “AeroScope” drone-detection system after it was alleged that it assisted the Russian government in targeting and harming Ukrainian drone pilots.

Currently, a pop-up on Aeroscope’s product page states that it is no longer available. It is yet unknown whether current AeroScope devices would lose functionality or if the platform will be permanently discontinued because the company hasn’t made the product’s closure official.
