Bengali Superstar Jeet’s ‘Chengiz’ to Be the First Bengali Film to Release in Hindi and Bengali on April 21

The rising action thriller Chengiz, starring Bengali movie star Jeet, will debut in theatres on April 21 in both Bengali and Hindi, the actor tweeted on Tuesday.

As a result of this achievement, “Chengiz” becomes the first Bengali movie to ever be distributed in Hindi. This is a first for the Bengali film industry to break into a completely another market, despite the fact that some films from the South have already been released in Hindi.

The movie, in which Jeet plays Chengiz, also has Shataf Figar, Susmita Chatterjee, and Rohit Bose Roy in significant parts. It centers on the underworld in Kolkata from the 1970s to the mid-1990s.

This film chronicles and captures Chengiz’s journey as an underworld kingpin.

Bengali versatile actor Abhishek Chatterjee passed away at the age of 57, CM Mamata Banerjee expressed grief

The Bengali film industry has lost one of its most versatile actors in Abhishek Chatterjee. Abhishek Chatterjee, who was 57 years old, passed away today, on 24th March. It is reported that Abhishek has been very ill for the past few days, according to reports in the online media. It is not yet known what caused his death.

According to TOI, Abhishek Chatterjee was shooting for a show yesterday i.e. on March 23 when suddenly his health deteriorated. He fell several times on the set, after which he was taken care of by the crew.

It’s reported that Abhishek Chatterjee did not want to go to the hospital despite being ill and returning home. Afterward, his family members called the doctor, and Abhishek received medical care. Initially, he seemed fine, but his health declined during the night, resulting in his passing.

The actor Abhishek Chatterjee, who has appeared in many Bengali films, is currently working in the Bengali TV show Khorkuto. Trina Saha and Kaushik Roy also played important roles with him in this show. The sudden death of Abhishek Chatterjee shocked the Bengali film industry as well as his fans.

As well, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the death of Mr. Abhishek Chatterjee. In one of her tweets, Mamata Banerjee wrote, “Saddened to hear about Abhishek Chatterjee’s sudden passing.” He performed extremely well and was very versatile in his performance. They will be missed. The TV and film industries have suffered a great loss. Condolences go to his friends and family.
