Kolkata News: The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra rally planned for this Friday by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been denied permission by the Birbhum district police, who have also threatened to take serious police action should the gathering be organized.

According to a statement from the superintendent of police in Birbhum district, permission for the rally has been canceled due to the secondary examinations that the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is holding starting this Friday.
