Delhi chilled due to snowfall on mountains, temperatures reached 3.1 degrees amid a cold wave

Delhi Weather News: Delhi and most of North India are experiencing cold weather at the moment. Additionally, the minimum temperature in the capital Delhi today (Monday) i.e. on the morning of December 20, was 3.1 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest temperature of the season to date. Apart from that, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts the outbreak of cold waves to last throughout the day in the capital.

Lodhi Road in Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 3.1 degrees Celsius today, according to the Regional Meteorological Center (Delhi). On Sunday, the minimum temperature in the Safdarjung area of Delhi was 4.6 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, Delhi’s minimum temperature was 5 degrees. Similarly, today’s minimum temperature was 3.1 degrees. The cold is wreaking havoc in Delhi continuously.

Additionally, the Meteorological Department has said that there will be fog in Delhi from December 21. At the same time, the Meteorological Department reports that snowfalls are also affecting the plains in parts of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh, causing temperatures to drop continuously.

According to the Meteorological Department, the plains of Northwest India will be hit by cold and dry winds with a speed of 15 kilometers per hour until Tuesday, which will lead to an increase in the adverse impact of the cold wave and cold.

Saturday was Delhi’s first “cold day” of the season, according to the Meteorological Department. Winds from the northwest brought a minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures for the season were 17.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees lower than normal. As per the Meteorological Department, a chill day occurs when the minimum temperature falls below 10°C and the maximum temperature drops below 4.5°C below the normal.
