The powerhouse trio of Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and director Rahul Dholakia are back together, this time bringing a story that celebrates the unwavering courage of firefighters. Their upcoming film, titled “Agni”, unveiled its much-anticipated teaser today, setting the stage for a gripping narrative that premieres on December 6th, 2024, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

The action-packed teaser offers a glimpse into the world of firefighters, their dedication, and the sacrifices they make in the face of danger. A powerful voiceover sets the tone, declaring, “We are worshippers of the Fire God. Sacrifice doesn’t worry us. You may forget us, but remember those who live among flames… became immortal.”  

Directed by the talented Rahul Dholakia, known for his gritty and realistic films, “Agni” promises to be a raw and emotional portrayal of firefighters’ struggles and triumphs.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast led by the rising star Pratik Gandhi, known for his phenomenal performance in the web series “Scam 1992.” He is joined by the versatile Divyenndu, who will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression. The supporting cast includes the ever-charming Saiyami Kher, the powerhouse Sai Tamhankar, veteran actors Jitendra Joshi and Udit Arora, along with Kabir Shah, rounding out a team that promises exceptional performances.

Fierce fire in chemical factory in Delhi’s Bawana, 30 fire engines present on the spot

In the Bawana industrial district of Narela, the capital of Delhi, a facility that makes chemicals caught fire. Firefighters are still on the scene and working to control the fire with 30 vehicles.

The news reports that a chemical factory in the Bawana area experienced a fire last night. The fire department provided information, stating that there are 30 tenders in total on the scene to put out the fire. During the operation being performed to contain the fire, 6 firefighters sustained injuries. To contain the fire, attempts are now being made.

According to the information received, all injured have been admitted to Maharishi Valmiki Hospital. As of yet, no cause has been identified for the fire.

6,650 people were displaced by rain and landslides in Brazil, the death toll rose to 107

Officials in Brazil’s northeastern Pernambuco state said Wednesday that 107 people have died as a result of heavy rains over the past week. Eleven people are still missing. Rains have displaced an estimated 6,650 people. Several houses have been buried by floods and landslides.

Recife, the state capital, and the surrounding areas were hit hardest by the deaths. Floods in May 1966 killed 175 people, becoming history’s second-worst tragedy.

Brazil’s military and firefighters are using trained dogs to search for the bodies of the missing. There is a state of emergency in 24 municipalities of Pernambuco and the federal government has announced that approximately US$200 million will be set aside for reconstruction.

Due to the heavy rain on Tuesday, the rescue operation had to be intermittent. The government of Brazil announced on Monday that it will allocate 1 billion reals (approximately 210 million US dollars) for the recovery of the affected areas.

As a result of the rain, more than 18,000 people were evacuated in Sergipe, Paraiba, Rio Grande do Norte, and Alagoas.
