Manipur: On Thursday night, there was more violence in the Imphal Valley in Manipur. Here, an effort was made to attack the chief minister N. Biren Singh’s vacant ancestral house. Violence-filled altercations persisted all night long as well. Even though things were mostly peaceful on Friday morning, tension still exists.
Security personnel are spread out throughout the Imphal Valley. Despite this, the crowd attempted to storm the Chief Minister’s empty ancestral home on Thursday night. The security forces, however, used tear gas to disperse the criminals.
According to sources, security personnel and demonstrators engaged in clashes throughout Imphal on Thursday night. This resulted in numerous injuries. In reality, when security personnel intervened to stop a gathering demanding justice for the murder of two students at Hatta Minuthong in Imphal East, the demonstrators became violent. Several people were reportedly hurt during the event and required hospital admission, according to sources.
