Section 144 implemented in Banswara after Kanhaiya Lal murder case in Udaipur, 24 hours internet service closed

The heavy police force has been deployed in the city and big towns of the district, while the police are keeping a constant vigil on the social sites as well. After the murder of Kanhaiya Lal in the Paddy Mandi area of Udaipur city of Rajasthan on Tuesday, the police and administration of Banswara district appeared fully alert. Banswara Collector Prakash Chand Sharma imposed Section 144 in the district.

A 24-hour shutdown of internet service has also taken place in the district. The DM has put all the SDMs and Tehsildars of the district on alert mode. Apart from this, after the police, Banswara SP Rajesh Kumar Meena also put all the police station officers of the district on alert mode after this massacre. On the instructions of the SP, all the police station officers conducted flag marches in the towns of their respective police stations and kept a heavy police force deployed at the main square of the town.

After last night’s incident, police have been deployed throughout the city. Additional SP Kan Singh Bhati and DSP Suryavir Singh Rathod took out a flag march in the city and the police force was deployed everywhere in the city. Not only this, with the help of drone cameras, the police kept surveillance in the city. Apart from this, armed policemen kept a front at the main intersection.

The heavy police force has been deployed in the city since this morning, while the police department is also keeping an eye on the social site. The police are keeping an eye on those who send wrong messages to incite religious sentiments on the social site. The police also arrested a person in the night, from which audio was viral on the social site. DM Prakash Chandra Sharma said that after the massacre in Udaipur, section 144 has been implemented in the Banswara district.

While internet service has been stopped for 24 hours, the police department is also on alert mode. There are patrols conducted in all the police stations in the district. In addition, the police force is in the city. Police also monitor the social side of things.

Stone-pelting injured four policemen early Tuesday morning, according to PTI. The police control room officer said, “Four policemen were injured in stone-pelting. A large amount of police force has been deployed in the area to control the situation.” The Chief Minister appealed to the people to maintain peace.

Gehlot said in a tweet, “Honoring the tradition of love and brotherhood of Jodhpur, Marwar, I appeal to all parties to cooperate in maintaining peace and restoring law and order.” Gehlot said he had instructed the administration to maintain peace and order.
