Sachin Tendulkar to Unveil Trailer of Muthiah Muralidaran Biopic ‘800’

World cricket fans eagerly await the trailer of Muthiah Muralidaran biopic, titled ‘800’, to be revealed by Sachin Tendulkar. This momentous trailer event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the bustling city of Mumbai.

Sachin, himself a cricket icon, will unveil the trailer, setting up what promises to be a riveting cinematic tribute to the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer.

In ‘800’, the talented Madhurr Mittal, known for his acclaimed performance in the Oscar-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, takes on the challenging role of Muthiah Muralidaran.

The biopic, directed by MS Sripathy and written by Vivek Rangachari, will celebrate Muralidaran’s remarkable journey from a young boy to becoming one of the world’s greatest spin bowlers. It is being produced by Movie Train Motion Pictures and Vivek Rangachari.

As the release date is still unknown for Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu versions of ‘800,’. The unveiling of the trailer is sure to create a buzz and leave fans eagerly anticipating its arrival.

Sri Lankan Cricketer Lasith Malinga Announces Retirement from all forms of Cricket

On Tuesday, Sri Lanka’s all-time leading fast bowler, Lasith Malinga, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. “Hanging up my T20 shoes and retiring from all forms of cricket! “Thank you to all who supported me on my journey, and I look forward to sharing my experience with young cricketers in the years to come,” the 38-year-old tweeted.

As well as the video, he posted a message thanking his teammates and all the teams he was a part of. “My love for the game will never rest while my shoes rest,” he captioned the video.

Malinga played 226 ODIs, 84 T20 Internationals (T20Is), and 30 Tests for Sri Lanka. He has 101 wickets in the longest format of the game, but he has 338 in ODIs and 107 in T20Is. On July 1, 2004, Malinga made his Sri Lankan debut against Australia.

Sri Lanka reached the final of the 2011 World Cup thanks to the bowling of Malinga, known for his deadly yorkers. Afterward, he won the T20 World Cup for Sri Lanka in 2014.

He holds the record as the first bowler to scoop 100 T20I wickets and finishes fourth on the highest wicket-takers list behind Dwayne Bravo, Imran Tahir, and Sunil Narine.

Lasith Malinga was also a veteran of the Indian Premier League (IPL). With 122 appearances for Mumbai Indians, he played a vital role in helping the franchise become the most prosperous in the cash-rich league. The right-arm pacer announced earlier this year that he was retiring from franchise cricket.
