Heavy rain in many parts of Thiruvananthapuram, waterlogging at many places; Schools, colleges will remain closed

In several areas of the country, images of recent heavy rains are surfacing. In several areas of Kerala, it is raining highly at the moment. The district of Thiruvananthapuram is most impacted by this rain. Landslides and flood-like conditions have occurred in numerous parts of the district as a result of the constant rain. The Thiruvananthapuram district’s educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and coaching centers, have been shuttered due to the heavy rainfall.

After visiting the flood-affected districts, state education minister V Sivankutty said on Facebook that the unique scenario in Thiruvananthapuram city was caused by the rain that had fallen since the previous night. Many areas have experienced water logging, and the situation has gotten to the point where the rising sea level is not going down. According to Sivankutty, essential government offices will remain open.

In addition, the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu has shuttered its schools and colleges due to the heavy rainfall. MN Poongodi, the district collector, made this announcement. Due to the torrential rains in the Dindigul district, the Collector declared that all schools and colleges will remain closed.

Youth arrested in connection with death of 17-year-old girl in Kerala
