Ranbir Kapoor had to go through a lot of physical change as well for the movie. He had taken a vacation in April to put on more weight for the movie. When asked about how he changed physically for the part, Ranbir said that he had to accurately portray the grey shades in Animal and that the physicality also contributed to the visuals.
