Tata’s cheapest Tiago EV has been launched in India! 315 km will run on one charge, booking starts from August 10

After all, the discussed event actually occurred. The Tiago’s initial ex-showroom price has been set at Rs 8.49 lakh to keep it under 10 lakh rupees.

The Tiago Electric can travel 315 kilometers on a single charge, per the information. Its booking will begin on August 10 and delivery will begin in January 2023 at the same time.

The Tiago EV’s interior has undergone various improvements thanks to the company. In addition to having a dual-colored dashboard, it also boasts Harman’s infotainment system. Leather seat covers have also been provided to create a premium appearance. However, it will only be available on the higher models. The fundamental architecture of Tigor hasn’t been altered, though.

What will be the Specialty

It now has quick charging capability according to the manufacturer. A 26kWh lithium-ion battery pack will be in the vehicle. In one hour, it will charge up to 80%. On a full charge, the car can travel 300 km. It will have Z Connect, which offers connectivity for smartwatches as well.

Tata’s two EVs

Tata Motors has just introduced two electric vehicles. These include the Tata Nexon EV, which has two variations and is already on the market. The Tigor, which would start appearing on highways at the beginning of the following year, was also introduced at the same time by Tata. The dominance of Tata in the EV sector will also be cemented with the release of these two vehicles. On the other hand, Citron’s C3 EV, which will debut on Thursday and directly challenge the Tigor, will also be unveiled.

Pollution and fuel imports are being reduced in India by the government. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric crossover will be placed on the market by the end of this year and the price will gradually be lowered, Garg said. Ioniq 5 cost around 34 lakhs in the US for its 480 km range.

Kona EV was launched in India
