Delhi NCR Weather Update – The national capital region of Delhi is currently grappling with a trifecta of weather woes: smog, fog, and cold. This harsh weather combination has led to significant disruptions in transportation and daily life.

The dense fog has severely impacted air travel, with numerous flight delays and cancellations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. As of Thursday morning, over 300 flights were reported to be delayed, with average delays of 17 minutes for arrivals and 54 minutes for departures.

The railway network has also been affected by the adverse weather conditions. Numerous trains arriving at New Delhi Railway Station, particularly those from Bihar and South India, have experienced delays ranging from 3 to 17 hours.

To ensure safety during periods of low visibility, Delhi Airport has implemented special security measures. DIAL, the airport operator, has urged passengers to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight information.

Several airlines, including IndiGo, have issued alerts about potential flight disruptions due to fog in regions like Amritsar, Varanasi, and Delhi.

As the weather situation remains volatile, residents of Delhi-NCR are advised to stay updated with the latest forecasts and take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of the harsh conditions.

Delhi-NCR submerged due to heavy rains, heavy jam on Delhi-Jaipur highway

Due to these weather activities, the maximum temperature may drop by up to 7 degrees in the next 5 days.

The Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rains from 16 to 18 June. At the same time, the monsoon has also been predicted to reach Delhi by June 27. Earlier, Delhi experienced severe heat during the day on Wednesday. Due to the high temperature, heat waves also occurred in many areas. Najafgarh recorded the highest maximum temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius. After this 44.9 degrees, Celsius was recorded in Sports Complex, 44.8 in Pitampura, 44.1 in Ridge, 43.2 in Noida, and 42.7 degrees Celsius in Gurugram.
