Delhi Service Bill also passed by Rajya Sabha, 131 votes in support of the bill and 102 votes against

A big blow has been dealt to the opposition coalition in INDIA by the BJP-led NDA government’s passing of the Delhi Service Bill in the Rajya Sabha. The bill received 131 votes in support and 102 votes in opposition.

There was a lot of commotion on Monday (August 7) during the discussion of this bill. Both sides launched blistering criticisms at one another. The Rajya Sabha will also pass this law, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

According to Amit Shah, the PM Modi-led administration will return in 2024 with a majority. He had asserted that INDIA would soon leave the opposition alliance. After the measure is enacted, Arvind Kejriwal will leave the opposition alliance. The opposition alliance is perceived to have suffered a significant setback with the Rajya Sabha’s passage of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill-2023.

Another blow to Arvind Kejriwal, Center got support of TDP party for ‘Delhi Service Bill’

With regard to the transfer assignment of officers in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has suffered a setback with regard to the “Delhi Service Bill.” The Andhra Pradesh Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has said that it will support the legislation in both Houses of Parliament.

In the Lok Sabha, the TDP has three members, and in the Rajya Sabha, one. With TDP’s backing, the government will become more powerful. It’s noteworthy that the government already possessed the necessary votes to enact the NCT Delhi (Amendment) Bill 2023 in Parliament.

Both the YSRCP, the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, and the TDP, the opposition party, are now supporting the government in addition to the TDP’s backing.
