In September 2022, Mahindra announced the all-electric XUV400. It is based on the upcoming January 2023 launch of the compact SUV XUV300. However, information regarding the electric SUV’s variants was leaked online before to the launch. There will be three variations of the new Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV, according to sources: Base, EP, and EL. The top-spec version would come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Mahindra’s Adreno X software.

Features of XUV400 Electric SUV

Along with this, linked car technology will be offered, including OTA updates and an electric sunroof. The top-tier model comes equipped with six airbags, four-disc brakes, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, and many more features.

It will have features like heated ORVMs, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, TPMS, front parking sensors, auto-dimming IRVMs, and leatherette upholstery (tire pressure monitoring system).

It can go as fast as 150 kmph. The new XUV400 EV, according to Mahindra, will have a certified range of 456 kilometers on a single full charge. There will be three driving options: Fun, Fast, and Fearless. A segment-first single-pedal drive mode called Lively Mode will also be available.

A 39.4kWh battery pack will be used by the XUV400 EV. The electric motor would produce 310Nm of maximum torque and 150bhp of power. It is stated that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.

The Defy electric SUV has remarkable performance capabilities, according to Pravaig. There is an electric motor and a 90.2kWh battery pack in the new Pravaig electric SUV‘s drivetrain. This configuration produces 620 Nm of peak torque and 402 horsepower of power. In terms of power output, it practically matches the electric SUVs from Volvo, Kia, and Audi. The drivetrain is an AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system.

According to the manufacturer, this electric vehicle will travel 504 kilometers on a single full charge. Thus, it ranks among the longest-range electric vehicles in India. Using a fast charger, the SUV’s battery can be recharged from empty to 80 percent in 30 minutes. Additionally, Pravaig asserts that the battery in the car has a 250,000 km range.

The Pravaig Defy Electric SUV’s ex-showroom pricing has been set by the firm at Rs 39.50 lakh. The SUV will begin to be produced, according to the business, in the second quarter of 2023.

The Audi Q8 e-tron, a facelift version of its e-tron electric SUV, was unveiled by luxury automaker Audi. The vehicle will take the place of the Q8 e-tron and the Q8 e-tron Sport back, which are currently available for purchase. Three variations of this SUV are available: the 50, 55, and S.

This SUV’s range is up to 600 kilometers, and its battery can be fully charged in 30 minutes. Currently, this model is available on the global market and may be introduced in India.

Dual motors are installed in the front and rear of the Audi e-tron 50 and 55 models. The motors in the 50 variants produce 340 horsepower and 664 nm of torque, while the motors in the 55 variants produce 408 bhp and 664 nm. The twin-motor configuration on the back axle of the S variant produces 503 horsepower and 973 nm of torque.

With the revised 89 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Audi Q8 e-tron 50 and Q8 Sport back e-tron 50 offer ranges of 491 km and 505 km (WLTP cycles), respectively. You will also get a range of up to 600 kilometers in 55 variations. The top-of-the-line S model, which has a 104 kWh battery pack and a range of up to 513 km, is also available.

The full charge will happen in half an hour

The Audi Q8 e-tron 50 charges completely in 9 hours and 15 minutes using an 11 kW AC charger, but just in 28 minutes using a 150 kW DC fast charger. A 170kW DC fast charger can charge the battery pack of the 55 and S models from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes.
