Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren ‘missing’, ED search continues, Section 144 imposed

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren‘s home in Delhi was visited by the ED team on Monday to quiz him about the money laundering case. But even after hours of waiting, Hemant Soren was nowhere to be found. The information indicates that ED has started a search operation at this location. According to sources, Soren is missing and has not been reached by the investigative agency.

Within 100 meters of the Ranchi ED office, Raj Bhavan, and the home of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Section 144 of the CrPC was enforced. Here, the investigating agency seized the BMW, which is registered under a Haryana license plate, and some documents from the Jharkhand chief minister’s home.

The driver and Soren’s close aide are being questioned by the investigative agency even now, but nothing new has come to light.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi posted something on the social media network. Jharkhand is facing a crisis related to its constitution. We are asking His Excellency to look into the case and call the Chief Minister to find out why he fled the investigative agency. Jharkhand’s reputation and legitimacy are in jeopardy.”
