Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa detained for questioning in a murder case

Karnataka: Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, also referred to as “Challenging Star,” was taken into custody by police on Tuesday in connection with a murder case. The actor and ten other individuals were apprehended by police in Mysuru.

He is suspected of being engaged in the Chitradurga murder of Renuka Swamy. Actress Pavitra Gowda was allegedly the target of some disrespectful social media actions by Swamy.

Sources claim that Swamy was killed in a shed within the station limits of Kamakshipalya. Two days ago, her lifeless body was discovered close to Sumannahalli Bridge, prompting the Kamakshipalya Police Station to open an investigation.

In September 2011, Darshan got caught in another legal dispute after his wife reported him to the police on charges of domestic abuse. After that, he was taken to jail and held at Parappana Agrahara for 14 days.

The couple will raise support for Madhu Bangarappa, a Congress candidate running for the Soraba seat. The children of former Karnataka CM S. Bangarappa are Madhu and Geetha Bangarappa.

Actor Chetan Kumar from Kannada was arrested by Bengaluru’s Seshadripuram police after his tweet that Hindutva is “built on lies” went viral online.

Chetan stated in a previous tweet that Hindutva is built on lies. Based on the tweet, a complaint was filed at Seshadripuram PS. Bajrang dal’s Shivakumar filed the complaint.

Chetan has been charged with violating sections 295A and 505B of the Indian Criminal Code by insulting Hindu nationalism.
