The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open for devotees from April 25, Helicopter service will also be offered

On April 25 of this year, the gates of the famous Kedarnath Dham, situated in the majestic Garhwal Mountains of Uttarakhand, will reopen to pilgrims. This year, the Yamunotri and Gangotri temples’ doors will open on April 22 to mark the start of the Chardham Yatra.

According to a representative of the Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, visitors will be able to enter the shrine on April 25 at 6:20 am.

According to an official at the state tourism department, pilgrims can also reach Kedarnath Dham by helicopter besides walking. For pilgrims going to Kedarnath Dham by helicopter, online reservations have been made with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

Helicopter crash in Kedarnath Dham, 7 people died in the accident and rescue work continues

Seven people were seated in the chopper that crashed, according to sources. It is reported that dense fog was responsible for the accident. For locals in Kedarnath Dham, fog is a major problem. The helicopter was broken up into multiple pieces after the incident.

After visiting Kedarnath for darshan, the devotees were on their way back when the disaster occurred. The fire is said to have been caused by a loud explosion. At a distance of 2 miles from Rudraprayag, the helicopter crashed. At the scene of the accident, there is a lot of fog, and there is also some light snowfall. Teams from the NDRF and SDRF are assisting with the rescue.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, the minister of civil aviation for the Union, has expressed sorrow over the helicopter crash event. He claimed that the accident is the subject of discussions with the government of Uttarakhand. The situation is being watched closely at all times.
