The Prime Minister declared, “I am delighted to announce that Lal Krishna Advani ji will receive the Bharat Ratna.” In our conversation, I also congratulated him on receiving this accolade. Among the most well-liked leaders of our day, he made an indelible contribution to the growth of India.

On November 8, 1927, Lal Krishna Advani was born in Karachi, Pakistan, into a Hindu Sindhi family. Giani Devi is his mother’s name, and Kishanchand Advani is his father. By trade, his father was an entrepreneur. His early schooling was at Karachi’s St. Patrick’s High School. Following this, he enrolled at Hyderabad, Sindh’s DG National School.
