Operation Dost: The Union Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that India had dispatched emergency relief supplies worth over Rs 7 crore to earthquake-stricken Turkey and Syria, including life-saving medications, protective gear, and equipment for critical care.

Mansukh Mandaviya, the minister of health, tweeted about his ministry’s efforts to provide Turkey and Syria with emergency relief supplies, adding that India is helping both nations in accordance with its long-standing tradition of Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam.

A significant amount of humanitarian supplies for both Turkey and Syria were organized on February 10. The aid shipment to Turkey contains 14 different types of medical and critical care equipment, with a cost of Rs 4 crore, while the consignment to Syria contains 72 critical care drugs, consumables, and protective goods weighing 7.3 tonnes and costing Rs 1.4 crore.
