SC bans survey in Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute, hearing on mosque side’s petition to be held

Supreme Court bans survey of Shahi Idgah in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, where Shri Krishna was born. The Allahabad High Court‘s directive to designate a commissioner (Court Commissioner) to examine the mosque has been suspended by the court.

The court has declared that the matter should continue to be heard, nevertheless. The Allahabad High Court’s December 14 order was stayed by a bench made up of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Dutta while they were considering a special leave petition submitted by the Shahi Idgah Mosque Committee.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Allahabad High Court may consider this petition; nevertheless, the order appointing the commissioner from December 14, 2023, and the survey are being halted immediately. The Supreme Court has set January 23, 2024, as the date of the next hearing in this matter. Seven people, including attorney Vishnu Shankar Jain and Hindu leader Shri Krishna Virajman, submitted this petition.

Supreme Court stays removal of encroachment near Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura for 10 days, notice issued

The demolition campaign being carried out by the railway authorities to clear encroachments close to Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura has been put on hold by the Supreme Court for ten days.

According to the petitioner, people have lived on the land where the railway is removing the encroachment for more than 100 years. This led to a demand for the action to be stopped.

According to the petitioner, there had been habitation on the property where the railroad was eliminating the encroachment for more than a century. On the basis of this, a request to cease the action was made.

The petitioner informed the court that the Railways had already cleared up many encroachments. There are currently 70–80 remaining homes; therefore, destruction should be halted. Immediately after the apex court stayed the action, the Railways were asked to respond. However, no one was present on behalf of the Railways in the Supreme Court during the hearing.

2) Then, give Lord Krishna a milk and Gangajal bath.

3) Then put on fresh clothing and decorate it with Tulsi Dal, Kundal, a peacock’s crown, a flute, a Vaijayanti garland, and so on.

4) Put flower necklaces on the Lord Krishna swing.

5) In addition to worshiping Lord Krishna, light incense lamps and offer him fruit, flowers, butter, sugar candy, and sweets.

6) After 12 nights, worship Shri Krishna by swinging him and doing aarti.

7) Distribute prasad to everyone after the ritual.
