Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer “Amaran” release date announced

Kamal Haasan and Sony Pictures International Productions, along with R Mahendran, have announced the release date of their highly anticipated pan-India film, “Amaran.” Starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, the movie is slated to hit theaters on Thursday, October 31st, 2024.

Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, “Amaran” promises to be an emotional drama set against the stunning backdrop of Kashmir. The film takes inspiration from the chapter titled “Major Varadarajan” from the book “India’s Most Fearless” by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.

Produced by Kamal Haasan, Sony Pictures International Productions, and R Mahendran, the movie boasts a strong team behind the scenes. God Bless Entertainment serves as the co-producer, while Red Giant Movies will handle theatrical distribution within Tamil Nadu.

Kamal Haasan’s SK21 starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi begins shooting in Kashmir

The filming of SK21, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, has begun in Kashmir. SK21 is being made by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures International Productions.

The movie’s title is SK21. This is RKFI’s 51st production; the 50th was the Vikram movie, starring Kamal Haasan and one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of 2022.

With a two-month programme planned across Kashmir’s magnificent landscapes, the SK21 crew started filming on Friday. Rajkumar Periasamy wrote the screenplay and directed the movie. G.V. Prakash provided the soundtrack.

Telugu film Love Story created a buzzing in USA box office

Telugu cinema generates the bulk of its revenues from its box office in the USA. Most of the big Telugu films used to collect millions of dollars in the overseas market before the COVID-19 pandemic. Tollywood in the USA has changed its business dynamics due to the pandemic.

There are limited capacities in U.S. theaters after the pandemic. In other words, films that have a theatrical release in that country do not do well enough to earn money. The only film to do well at the US box office after the pandemic was Jathi Ratnalu. Having received excellent pre-sales, Shekhar Kammula’s Love Story is providing hope for producers.

Pre-sales for Love Story have so far grossed $150k, according to the latest reports. The overseas market for Shekhar is huge. Moreover, the trailer and music from the film captured the attention of viewers and raised expectations.

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi star in the lead roles of Love Story and the film is set for a grand release tomorrow. Tonight in the USA will be the premieres. Pre-sale trends indicate that producers are anticipating a strong turnout at the premieres.
