The ‘Orange Alert’ is still in effect for the state’s Saurashtra and Kutch coasts as Cyclone Biparjoy has grown into a very strong cyclonic storm, according to the India Meteorological Department. It will pass across Gujarat‘s Jakhau port by Thursday evening.
The Palghar district administration in Maharashtra has issued a warning and has outright forbidden people from moving anywhere near the shore from June 13 to June 15. This is because of the cyclonic storm Biparjoy’s growing threat.
Because of Cyclone Biparjoy, both the state and federal governments are on high alert. There are 12 NDRF teams working for us, and they are spread out across the districts of Kutch, Porbandar, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Morbi, and Rajkot.
