Petrol pump strike in Rajasthan on 13-14 Sep, in protest against high VAT

In Rajasthan, petrol station workers have called a statewide strike beginning this morning, September 13, in protest of the state’s higher VAT rate on diesel and petrol than its surrounding states.

On September 13 and 14, petrol pump workers will strike from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in order to alert the state government. Even after this, starting on September 15, they will embark on an indefinite strike if the government does not take their demands into account.

During the strike, there won’t be any petrol or diesel available at the pumps. Pump employees won’t buy any fuel goods either. This strike will not apply to emergency service vehicles, such as ambulances and fire engines.

Rajendra Singh Bhati, president of the Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association, stated that the association’s major demands are for the state of Rajasthan to lower the VAT rate on petrol and diesel and to raise the dealer commission. These are the demands the association set forward when it went on strike. Over 6000 petrol pumps will be shut down throughout the state at this time.

BJP calls for 12-hour strike at Moyna in East Midnapore to protest against killing of party worker

After a party leader was found dead on Monday night, the BJP announced a 12-hour strike for Wednesday in Moyna, East Midnapore.

Trinamool Congress and local police officers are blamed for the alleged murder by opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari.

Auto Taxi Ola Uber Strike in Delhi-NCR, people facing problems, know the reason

Taxi, auto, and cab drivers have announced a strike in Delhi on Monday, i.e. today. During such a situation, the wheels of taxis, autos, minibusses, Ola, and Uber cabs are seen stopping in the capital. People are facing a lot of problems as a result.

Across the country, the price of petrol, diesel, and CNG is continuously increasing; therefore, cab drivers are asking for a hike in the taxi fares.

The auto taxi union’s strike in Delhi has seen drivers holding posters with demands. They also raised slogans against the government. In addition, the drivers said, we offer our apologies to the passengers who are having difficulties, but if we do not do so, our lives will be difficult.

Meanwhile, people from all around the country are arriving at the New Delhi railway station, but they are not getting auto cabs outside the station. They have to travel to different parts of Delhi. In such a situation, the cab drivers’ association of Ola and Uber are set to strike on Monday to demand a higher fare. On the other hand, the Delhi Auto Rickshaw Association has also called for subsidies for CNG. The Sangh has threatened to go on strike if the government does not listen to their demands.

Cab drivers on strike for two days from today

Delhi’s Auto, Taxi, and Cab Drivers Association have called for a two-day strike from Monday. Actually, many car and cab drivers are asking for cab prices to be increased and for fuel prices to be reduced. However, despite assurances from the Delhi government, drivers have set up a strike.

The Delhi government has asked to set up a committee to discuss the demands of the drivers. The association estimates that most cab and auto drivers will participate in the two-day strike.

90,000 autos and 80,000 taxis registered in Delhi

In addition, all the organizations of the auto, taxi, and minibus drivers in Delhi have also called for a strike. However, Kamaljeet Gill, Chief of Sarvodaya Driver Association, said that the government was not doing anything in regard to reducing the prices of petrol and diesel and enhancing fares. The Delhi Auto Rickshaw Association general secretary Rajendra Soni said, “CNG prices have caused problems to the drivers.” We know that the Delhi government has discussed forming a committee. To solve our problems, we must find a solution. We would like our government to subsidize CNG. A total of 90,000 autos and 80,000 taxis are registered in Delhi. Due to most of these strikes, people may face trouble in such a situation.

Big decision of CM Yogi government, strike ban in Uttar Pradesh for six months

A six-month ban has been imposed on strikes in UP by the Yogi Adityanath government. Dr. Devesh Kumar Chaturvedi, the Additional Chief Secretary Personnel, has issued a notification to that effect.

Uttar Pradesh has passed an ordinance banning strikes at all public agencies, corporations, and local authorities involved in state affairs. Those who strike will face legal consequences in the future. In May of this year, the UP government banned strikes for six months. There was a Corona crisis raging at that time.

To resolve the problems associated with Covid, CM Yogi had enacted the ESMA Act. As a result of this action by the Yogi government, the periodic strike was banned for all government employees, including those in public services, the authorities, and corporations. The ESMA Act is implemented by the UP government under the Act 1966 after receiving approval from the governor. Designed for ESMA Act demonstrators and strikers.

After implementation, demonstrations or strikes are prohibited across the state. The UP government implemented this act last year, which was extended for six months in November last year itself. If a striker or protester was found after the ESMA Act was enacted, then legal action would be taken against them by arresting them without a warrant by government agents.
