NIA attaches property of Hurriyat leader Ayaz Akbar in terror funding case

In connection with a case involving the funding of terrorism, the NIA on Tuesday attached a residence owned by Mohammad Akbar Khanday, aka Ayaz Akbar, the leader of the Hurriyat Conference, in the city’s Maloora neighborhood.

According to police, the detectives located Kansas’ home in Maloora, a close associate of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

According to them, the NIA posted a notice announcing Khanday’s house and land measuring 1 kanal and 10 marla (8,160 square feet).

NIA arrested Irfan Mehraj from Srinagar in connection with the NGO terror funding case

According to an official, the NIA has arrested Irfan Mehraj from Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) in connection with the NGO terror funding case.

According to reliable sources cited by the Srinagar-based news network Kashmir Dot Com, a special NIA team from New Delhi arrested freelance journalist Irfan Mehraj in Srinagar.

Official sources verified Mehraj’s detention and stated that he was detained in connection with the NIA’s investigation into FIR No. RC-37/2020, which was filed at NIA Delhi.
