Tomato flu detected in Kerala

As the Corona virus epidemic has not yet ended, fear has spread about a new disease. In the midst of recent food poisoning cases, a new virus named Tomato Flu has been detected in many parts of Kerala. Then, tests are administered to all those who have complained of fever. What is Tomato Flu?

The tomato flu is an unknown illness, found in children under the age of five in Kerala. Flu-infected children develop rashes and blisters which are usually red in color. The disease is known as ‘Tomato Flu’ or ‘Tomato Fever’. A health official has warned that if infection prevention measures are not taken, the disease will spread. The disease has only been detected in parts of Kerala.

What are the symptoms of tomato flu?

The main symptoms of Tomato Flu are a red rash, blisters, skin irritation, and dehydration. In addition to this, symptoms such as high fever, body aches, swollen joints, fatigue, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cough, sneezing and runny nose, and change in hand color may also be experienced by infected children.

How to deal with Tomato Flu?

If a child displays any symptoms of Tomato Flu, they should see a doctor immediately. Also, make sure that the infected child doesn’t scratch the blisters and rashes. In addition, maintain hygiene. Additionally, the doctor tells the patient to take the liquid from time to time and rest properly.
