India Covid News: 18815 new cases of corona in the country in 24 hours, 38 deaths, daily infection rate 4.96 percent

After 18,815 new cases of corona virus infection were reported nationwide, the total number of infected people rose to 4,35,85,554 while the number of patients seeking treatment rose to 1,22,335. The Union Health Ministry’s Friday statistics update contained this information. According to the most recent statistics as of 8 am, 38 more sick people have died, bringing the overall number of fatalities to 5,25,343.

The daily infection rate is 4.96 percent

According to the government, 0.28 percent of all cases are now being treated, while 98.51 percent of people nationwide have recovered from Covid-19. A total of 2,878 additional patients received treatment within a day. 4,38,005 samples were analyzed in the previous 24 hours, according to the ministry. Compared to the daily infection rate of 4.96 percent, the weekly infection rate was 4.09 percent. 4,29,37,876 people are recovering from the illness, while the mortality rate is 1.21 percent.

The ministry reports that 198.51 crore doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine have already been administered in the nation as part of the widespread vaccination program. By May 4 of last year, there were over 20 million sick people, and on June 23, 2021, there will be over 30 million. The number of instances had surpassed four crores on January 25 of this year.

Covid vaccination of 12 to 14-year-old children starts in India from today, booster dose to 60+ age group

New guidelines for vaccination of children aged 12-14 years were released by the central government on Tuesday. These guidelines stipulate that the vaccine manufactured by Biological E is an intramuscular vaccine administered twice over 28 days. It will be given at intervals of 14 days. As of Tuesday, the vaccination center informed us that children aged 14 to 15 are being vaccinated during vaccinations for 15 to 18-year-olds.

There are an estimated 47 crore children between the ages of 12 and 13 in India as of March 1, 2021, according to the report. A child born in 2010 or earlier and who has reached 12 years of age can register for vaccination on CoWIN according to guidelines.

Country got third made in India vaccine, anti covid pill also approved

Covovax and Corbevax vaccines, as well as the antiviral drug Molnupiravir, have been approved as an emergency treatment by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), a branch of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The information was given on Monday by officials. Anti-Covid-19 vaccines will be administered to children on January 3, according to the official. Children between the ages of 15 and 18 can register on the Covin website beginning on January 1st, said Dr. R.S. Sharma, the Cowin’s head. The Union Health Ministry released new guidelines on Monday that recommend Covaccine as the only vaccine option.

Those with serious diseases, such as heart disease, and frontline workers will receive the third dose of vaccine based on whether they received the second and third doses. In accordance with the guidelines that will go into effect on January 3, only people aged 15 and over will be allowed to register at Cowin. The vaccination will be available to those born in 2007 or earlier.
