India will compete for their country in the 2022 Women’s Asia Cup. Harmanpreet Kaur is in charge of leading the team. On October 1st, the event will start in Bangladesh. Indian Women’s Selection Committee has elected Smriti Mandhana to be vice-captain. Team India’s first opponent will be Sri Lanka. A T20 series of three games are currently taking place in England, where the team lost 1-2.

In the first ODI game, however, the squad won. The BCCI announced the team for the ACC Women’s T20 Championship on Wednesday following this victory. A chance has also been offered to Kiran Prabhu Navkire, who made her international debut during the England visit. A total of 21 runs were scored by Navgire in two T20 games against England. Seven teams, including those from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, and Malaysia, will compete in this 15-day competition. The competition will be held in a round-robin format. Semifinals will be held for the top four teams.

India vs Pakistan match

Speaking of the Indian team’s itinerary, after taking on Sri Lanka to start the season, Harmanpreet Kaur’s group will play Malaysia on October 3 and UAE on October 4. The high-stakes game between India and Pakistan will follow on October 7. On October 8 and 10 respectively, Team India will take on Bangladesh and Thailand.

Shefali Verma, Jemima Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Sneh Rana, D Hemlata, Meghna Singh, Renuka Thakur, Pooja Vastrakar, Gaikwad, Radha Yadav, and Kiran Navgire make up the Indian squad.

Tanya Bhatia and Simran Bahadur are the stands by players.

Richa Ghosh of Siliguri will represent India in the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup. Richa has been selected for India’s women’s team for the ICC Women’s World Cup ODI championship scheduled to take place in New Zealand in March.

“It’s important for me now that I maintain my fitness and continue to practice. I am unable to move to Calcutta immediately due to the surge in Covid-19 cases. As Richa told The Telegraph, Siliguri lacks a proper practice ground and infrastructure.

In addition to the women’s world cup, the BCCI has announced a squad for five One-Day Internationals and a T20 series against the Kiwis.

Richa Ghosh has been selected for all squads. “Earlier, I was determined to do well when selected to play for Australia in ODI matches. I had hoped to make the women’s world cup team, and now I’ve finally achieved that goal,” she said.

In all three ODIs played during September last year against Australia, she was the only wicketkeeper to bat. With his 32 unbeaten runs and 44 runs, Richa also maintained a good position behind the wickets throughout the series. In the Women’s Big Bash League of Australia, she was able to secure a contract with the Hobart Hurricanes due to her performance.

In Siliguri, the subdivisional sports governing body, the Mahakuma Krira Parishad, claims that Richa was well deserved for his selection. “Since she began playing cricket two years ago, she has consistently performed well in all forms. “It is indeed a matter of pride for Siliguri that she has been selected for the world cup team,” he said.
