Corona havoc started increasing again, 292 new cases of Covid-19 registered in Kerala

COVID-19 Updates: Winter brought with it a rising threat from coronaviruses across the nation. JN.1, the new and highly hazardous strain of Corona, is spreading quickly. The Union Health Ministry has provided data showing that in the past 24 hours, 292 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Kerala, with three of those cases ending in death.

This kind of Corona was first documented in Kerala, but it has now spread to Maharashtra and Goa. Nearly 2000 cases are now active. Regarding this Corona variation, the federal government has previously notified the state governments.

Today morning, 341 new instances of the coronavirus were recorded nationwide, with 292 of those cases occurring in Kerala. This has caused Kerala’s current case count to rise to 2041. With three more deaths, Kerala’s coronavirus death toll now stands at 72,056.

He noted that instructions have been given to hospitals to facilities that isolation wards, oxygen beds, ICU beds, and ventilators are available, as well as to provide particular facilities for COVID-19 patients.

Sources with the health department said that restrictions may be imposed during New Year’s and Christmas celebrations if this trend continues. There was a decline in the number of COVID cases by the first week of November, and zero cases were reported in several districts including the districts adjacent to Maharashtra, clearing the way for the lifting of all restrictions. As a result of the situation, the state government has again enacted restrictions.

As reported by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Kodagu, Haveri, Chikkaballapura, Mandya, Mysuru, Davangere, and Uttara Kannada recorded the most cases of Covid. Covid cases have been reported in other districts at very low or single-digit levels. However, the number of Kovid cases is increasing fourfold in districts where the situation is under control.

As compared to the previous week (November 18 to 25), 2,202 more cases were registered between November 26 and December 3. The number of covid cases from 12-19 November was 1,588. As per the data available with the health department, there has been a 25 percent increase in cases in the last 15 days.

Shivamogga and Koppal have seen a four-fold increase. Shivamogga reported 28 cases of covid between 18-25 November. The number of cases rose 430 percent between November 26 and December 3. During the period between November 26 and December 3, Koppal reported four cases, down from zero between November 25 and 18. During the same period, Bengaluru Urban reported an increase in Covid cases from 995 to 1,167.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told health department sources that the government had no agenda for banning activities and gatherings. After analyzing the state’s situation, he said he will make an appropriate decision in the coming days.
