Encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, three army soldiers martyred in firing

Terrorists and members of the Indian Army had a confrontation on Friday in the Jammu and Kashmir area of Kulgam. Three army men died in the encounter at the time.

According to a police officer, after getting information regarding the presence of terrorists, the security forces began a cordon and search operation in the high-altitude portions of the Halan forest area of the Kulgam district in south Kashmir.

He claimed that after the terrorists started firing on the security personnel, the search operation degenerated into an encounter. The security forces responded by taking action. The officer reported that three security workers were hurt during the shooting and later passed away. The police had earlier reported that the injured army troops had been sent to a hospital.
