All India Senior Selection Committee made changes in Team India, included this spinner for the third ODI

Kuldeep Yadav has been selected by the All India Senior Selection Committee to play for India in the third and final ODI. In the second over of the second ODI, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma was hurt while fielding.

He was examined by the BCCI medical staff and had a scan at a nearby Dhaka hospital. He won’t be able to participate in the last ODI since he departed for Mumbai to speak with a specialist. Later, it will be decided if he is available for the forthcoming Test series.

Deepak Chahar, a fellow fast bowler, also missed the series after sustaining a left hamstring injury during the second ODI. Kuldeep and Deepak will both now present themselves to the NCA for additional treatment of their wounds.

Ravi Shastri’s name missing from commentary panel for series, will have to wait for his return

Former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri will have to wait until IPL 2022 to make his commentary debut. For the West Indies home series against the ODIs and T20Is next month, Shastri was not named to the commentary panel.

BCCI will field seven commentators in February to cover three One Day Internationals and as many Twenty20 Internationals against West Indies. Shastri is not present. In addition to Gavaskar, Agarkar, Bhogle, Murali, Dasgupta, and Sivaramakrishnan, the panel includes Ganesh Gupta and Ajit Agarkar. The list includes former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop as well. Shastri will not comment on the series with Sri Lanka.

Shastri is currently serving as the commissioner of Legends League Cricket in Muscat. It’s been a while since he started commenting. But after becoming the full-time coach of Team India in 2017, he had to give up commentary. However, his time as coach is now over. Since this is the case, fans are hoping for an early return to the commentary box.

The India-West Indies series begins on February 6

India and West Indies will play three ODIs and as many T20Is starting on 6 February. T20 matches will be played in Kolkata, while one-day internationals will be played in Ahmedabad.
