Sunny posted two photos of himself as Tara Singh on Instagram with the caption, “Lucky are those people who get a chance to relive amazing characters in their lives. Here is Tara Singh after 20 years! The first schedule of ‘Gadar 2’ is complete. I am feeling very happy.”

Gadar 2 is the sequel to ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, the romantic blockbuster released in 2001. In the first movie, Sunny Deol stars as Tara Singh, a truck driver from Amritsar who falls in love with a Muslim girl from Lahore’s political family, Sakina (Amisha Patel). Actor Amrish Puri played Ameesha Patel’s father in the first film.

Along with Sunny and Ameesha, Utkarsh Sharma, the son of film director Anil Sharma, will appear in Gadar 2. In the first film, Utkarsh played the son of Sunny and Ameesha. The film’s shooting began in Himachal Pradesh in December.
