Weather Update: Tomorrow will see a surge in monsoon activity, Rain will be heavy in Central and North West India

Monsoon is expected to pick up the pace once again in the country from tomorrow i.e. June 28. Meteorologists predict that along with central India, there will be widespread rain in the north-western parts of the country. A good amount of rain will be recorded in the first week of July. Along with western Rajasthan, there may be good rain in the Kutch region of Gujarat. A normal monsoon rain will end in June as well.

Private weather forecasting agency Skymet says that the first week of July will be rainy for central and northwest India. During the initial period of July, good rains may occur over West Rajasthan as well as the Kutch region of Gujarat.

Agency experts said that the rainfall deficit on June 24 was -4%. After this, the lack of rain increased further. The revival of Monsoon seems to be weakening till June 27. The East-West Trough will once again move southwards over the Northern Plains, which will lead to an increase of East and South East winds from the Bay of Bengal.

He says that the onset of monsoon this year was weak. Till the first fortnight of June, the rains were below average across India. North West and Central India did not experience heavy rainfall. The rain activities gathered pace during the second fortnight of June and by June 22, the monsoon rains in the country had become break-even. According to the IMD‘s forecast released on Thursday, heatwave conditions will continue over northwest and central India for the next five days, and over east India for the next three days.

Meteorological Department forecasts a two-degree Celsius temperature increase over most parts of Northwest India over the next two days and that the temperature won’t fluctuate much thereafter. For the next four days, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha in Maharashtra are under Orange alert status. Several parts of northwestern India are expected to reach 47 degrees Celsius due to high mercury.

“To the end of April, the temperature will be 45 degrees Celsius in parts of North India like Churu, Barmer, Bikaner, and Sri Ganganagar, and 45-46 degrees Celsius in the plains of Rajasthan.” said independent meteorologist Navdeep Dahiya. According to the IMD, vulnerable people, including infants, the elderly, and those with chronic diseases, could suffer moderate health concerns during the heatwave.

MD predicted that the severe heatwave conditions will be significantly worse in April as opposed to March, and they are expected to last into April 15 in some areas. Specifically, the Meteorological Department said the current wave of severe heat started primarily over western Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Gujarat and west Madhya Pradesh on March 27.

Weather Update: These states may experience rain due to strong winds

Winter has now reached its final phase. A scorching sun has changed the tone of the cold. Summer is beginning to show its effects. Western Disturbance can be seen in parts of Western Himalaya from the night of February 21, according to the India Meteorological Department. In the area surrounding the Andaman Sea and the Southeast Bay of Bengal, a cyclonic circulation is present. Northeast India’s weather is likely to change in the next 24 hours. It might rain in this area. A few isolated places in South Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands may also experience light rain. Snowfall is possible in the Western Himalayan region and in Arunachal Pradesh due to the Western Disturbance. There should be no significant changes in the weather in the rest of the country.

Arunachal Pradesh may experience rain and snow on 4 February. On February 06 and 07, there is a chance of scattered showers and snow in the Western Himalayas.

On 03rd and 04th February, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in Bihar and Jharkhand. West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha may also observe rain on the same day. Isolated areas of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha are likely to experience dense fog overnight and in the morning over the next 24 hours.
