IMD issued a high alert for heavy rains in 19 states in the next 24 hours

Rainfall Alert: The monsoon has already begun to cause devastation everywhere. In the upcoming 24 hours, 19 states will see severe rains, according to the Meteorological Department’s high alert. Rain is still causing chaos in Delhi, the nation’s capital. Many parts of the capital are water-logging as a result of recent heavy rains.

Six districts of Maharashtra have received an Orange alert advisory today. In Mumbai, 9 persons have passed away in the last 3 days. From south to north and from east to west, the country is experiencing record-breaking rainfall. Even today, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rain in Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Noida, and the surrounding areas.

In Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, six persons became stuck in the middle of the river. A helicopter assisted in the evacuation of the group. These consist of 5 men and 1 woman. In the Dindori district, rivers and streams, especially the Narmada River, are in spate as a result of the rain that has fallen over the past two days.

Gujarat is experiencing significant flooding in many of its regions. Heavy rains are making Junagadh, Surat, and Valsad groan. Many regions have been inundated due to the constant rain.

Warning of heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar, temperature likely to drop in North Indian states

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands will have heavy rain on November 15 and 16, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Due to this, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and Navy have all been placed on high alert.

A warning has been issued starting on Sunday for the following five days. There are, however, chances of rain in several parts of the archipelago on November 15 and 16. These areas include Port Blair, Campbell Bay, Kamorta, and Diglipur.

Wind speed 45 km. likely to occur per hour

According to a statement from the Directorate of Disaster Management, the Andaman Sea is experiencing a 45 km/h wind speed because of the terrible weather. per hour, more likely to occur. For the upcoming few days, the western Himalayan region is expected to have widespread mild to moderate rain and snowfall, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The north Indian states’ temperatures are expected to drop by a few degrees, according to the Meteorological Office’s forecast.

Chance of rain in these areas

On November 14, it is very possible that there will be light to moderate rain or snowfall across Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, and Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, there is a chance of light precipitation or rain in several locations throughout Uttarakhand. On November 14, 2022, isolated areas of Haryana and West Rajasthan may get light rain. In several areas of Northwest India, the lowest temperature is projected to fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the course of the next 48 hours.

Monsoon is expected to pick up the pace once again in the country from tomorrow i.e. June 28. Meteorologists predict that along with central India, there will be widespread rain in the north-western parts of the country. A good amount of rain will be recorded in the first week of July. Along with western Rajasthan, there may be good rain in the Kutch region of Gujarat. A normal monsoon rain will end in June as well.

Private weather forecasting agency Skymet says that the first week of July will be rainy for central and northwest India. During the initial period of July, good rains may occur over West Rajasthan as well as the Kutch region of Gujarat.

Asked if the monsoon would reach Delhi-NCR and northwestern India by the expected date, Jenamani replied that it is too early to predict. The monsoon is expected to reach Maharashtra in the next two days, and it will engulf the entire Mumbai region in the days ahead.”

According to the IMD, the monsoon should arrive in Delhi on June 27, but it actually happened on July 13, a record for the longest delay in the past 19 years.

“To the end of April, the temperature will be 45 degrees Celsius in parts of North India like Churu, Barmer, Bikaner, and Sri Ganganagar, and 45-46 degrees Celsius in the plains of Rajasthan.” said independent meteorologist Navdeep Dahiya. According to the IMD, vulnerable people, including infants, the elderly, and those with chronic diseases, could suffer moderate health concerns during the heatwave.
