A long wait of two years has ended and registration for Amarnath Yatra 2022 has now begun. This time, this Amarnath Yatra will begin on 30th June and end on 11th August. Two days ago, Nitishwar Kumar, CEO of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, announced the registration. For pilgrims attending the annual pilgrimage to Amarnath Dham in South Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir have constructed a Yatri Niwas with a capacity of 20,000.

When will the journey start?

Amarnath Yatra dates depend on both the Hindu calendar and Shivratri. The start date of the Yatra is not fixed every year, but the last date of the Yatra is Sawan Purnima. Amarnath Yatra this year will take place from 30th June through 11th August.

How many days will this Amarnath Yatra be by this time?

Likewise, the duration of the Amarnath Yatra varies from year to year. Usually, this is fixed for a maximum period of 35 days to 60 days in a given year. The Amarnath Yatra used to last for 60 days, but later due to many local problems, this time period decreased from year to year. The journey will take 43 days this year.

In which banks will the registration be done?

Yatra can be registered in four banks. Among them are J&K Bank, PNB Bank, Yes Bank, and SBI. The Shrine Board will be able to track pilgrims with RFID tags.

Will the registration be done anywhere other than the bank?

Yatra registration can also be done online through the Shrine Board’s website and mobile app, as well as various banks across the country.

Can people of any age go on this trip?

Yatra is open to persons under 75 years of age and above the age of 13. The Amarnath Yatra is expected to attract more than 300,000 devotees this time around.

Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Dilbagh Singh has instructed the security forces to ensure a peaceful and smooth Amarnath Yatra. During his visit to Ganderbal in central Kashmir, the DGP reviewed the security situation in the district and preparation for the pilgrimage. The Police Headquarters will provide all kinds of assistance to ensure that the Yatra goes smoothly.
