The Bengaluru Police of Karnataka stepped against late-night pub openings on Sunday. The management of several bars in the city was targeted by the police, who filed a formal complaint. Cricketer Virat Kohli also owns One8 Commune Pub, one of these bars.
According to the authorities, the pub was purportedly open until 1:30 am on July 6th, which is against the law. Also received complaints about loud music. One8 Commune Pub is the subject of an official FIR filed by the Cubbon Park Police Station.
