On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) issued an avalanche warning for a number of Union Territory locations and people should avoid unnecessary trips.

Avalanches with a high level of hazard are anticipated the following day in the districts of Doda, Kishtwar, and Poonch, which are located 2,500 meters above sea level. Additionally, the district of Anantnag may see avalanches above 1,500 meters. It has been advised that locals use caution and stay away from avalanche-prone locations.
Heavy rain and snowfall alerts in these districts
For remote locations in the middle and upper ranges of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Lahaul and Spiti, and Kinnaur, the Meteorological Department has issued an “Orange” advisory for heavy rain/snowfall. However, through Friday, rain with thunder and lightning is expected in the lower slopes.
