Following the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Sabha elections, the Congress party has been encountering successive challenges. Tajinder Singh Bittu, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge secretary for Himachal Pradesh who was close to Priyanka Gandhi, resigned from the Congress party’s primary membership. and became a BJP member.
In the presence of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde, he joined the party today.
Tajinder Singh submitted his resignation letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge today. He said in the letter, “With immediate effect, I tender my resignation from the post of Secretary-cum-in-charge of AICC, Himachal Pradesh, and the primary membership of the Indian National Congress.”
It is believed that Tajinder Singh Bittu’s departure from the Congress before the Lok Sabha elections is a blow to the organization. He has so far been a component of the party’s electoral plan. He attended all of the meetings. Tajinder Singh was named co-leader of the Himachal Congress by the Congress high command in 2021. Afterward, he actively contributed to Congress’ victory in Himachal Pradesh at the 2022 assembly elections.
