Ponniyin Selvan Poster Out: The poster of Mani Ratnam’s film Ponniyin Selvan, starring Aishwarya Rai, was released. It was in July of last year that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to social media to announce her upcoming film, ‘Ponniyin Selvan Part 1’, to be released in 2022. The makers of the film have released the film’s first look poster.

In the poster for the film, Vikram and Jayam Ravi are depicted in warrior looks, furious and ready to wage war. In royal attire, Aishwarya Rai and Trisha Krishnan are seen. Jayam Ravi also announced the release date of his film on social media, along with a gorgeous first look poster of the actors.

Ponniyin Selvan Part First Release Date

Ponniyin Selvan will have its first part on the silver screen on 30th September 2022. The first look poster of the film is getting tons of likes and appreciation from the netizens.

This historical drama is based on the novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, published in 1955. Having been asked about the plot of the film, the makers revealed that the film is about one of the most powerful kings of the South. In recounting the early days of Arulmozhivarman, Ponniyin Selvan describes how the mighty king attained the title of Rajaraja Chola I. With the support of Lyca Productions, Madras Talkies produced the movie. The film’s background music was composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman.

In the past, Aishwarya Rai revealed on Instagram that the historical film would release in two parts. The previous poster for the film showed a mighty lion with a sharp sword roaring. Aishwarya shared the film poster, writing, ‘The Golden Era comes to the big screens on Sept 30th!
